Business licenses must be purchased each calendar year and are valid from January 1 to December 31.

Full Year: Every person who commences business before the first day of July shall be subject to and shall pay the annual license fee.

Half Year: Every person who commences business on or after July 1st, shall be subject to and shall pay one-half (1/2) the annual license fee.

Issue Fee: For each license issued there shall be an issuance fee collected of ten dollars.

Annual Renewal: Business license shall be renewed annually from January 1st until January 31st each year.

Sales Tax Information: The sales tax rate in Opp is 10%. The tax is comprised of three separate taxes: 4% state, 2.5% county, and 3.5% City of Opp. RDS collects The City of Opp sales and use tax, lodging tax, and gas tax.
