The Municipal Court of Opp exercises jurisdiction over all prosecutions of misdemeanor cases for violations of traffic and non-traffic offenses, municipal ordinance violations, and state misdemeanors adopted by our Ordinance.

FOR CITATIONS NOT REQUIRING COURT APPEARANCE

• The person who received the citation can appear in person at Opp Municipal Court Office, enter a plea of guilty, and make payment in the form of cash, cashier’s check, money order, or debit/credit card (fee will apply). You may only do this if you have not been convicted of two or more traffic violations during the preceding twelve months.
  
• Mail payment in the form of a cashier’s check or money order along with a plea of guilty to the following: Opp Municipal Court, P. O. Box 610 Opp, Al 36467.

If you do not know whether or not your citation requires a court appearance, you may contact the Court Office at (334) 493-1831. If the citation is not paid before your court date or you do not appear in court, a warrant of arrest will be issued, your driver license will be suspended, and additional fines will be applied.
