Message from our Police Chief

I am Police Chief Kevin Chance, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Opp Police Department‘s web page. The Opp Police Department currently employs twenty-two sworn police offers and seven civilians. We are responsible for providing law enforcement services to an area consisting of twenty-one square miles that include 40 miles of urban streets and a population of approximately 6,700, as well as those people that travel through our city on a daily basis.

I am extremely proud to be a member of a team of professional and dedicated law enforcement officers, communication officers, and administrative staff members. They are second-to-none and strive to serve the citizens of Opp, Alabama as well as the wonderful people that visit our city each and every day.

With the assistance of the members of our community, we strive to make Opp a wonderful setting to raise a family and a superior place to relocate and build a business.

Chief Kevin Chance
