Message from Our Fire Chief<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Greetings! I am Fire Chief Cory Spurlin, and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Opp Fire Department\u2019s web page. Our department currently employs a combination of both career and paid per call firefighters. We provide fire and rescue services to a forty-five square mile fire district, with a population of approximately 7,500 residents. We are a service oriented Fire Department consisting of 1 Fire Chief, 3 Captains, 3 Lieutenants, 16 Firefighters, 1 Fire Station, 3 Fire Engines, 1 Brush Truck and 2 Support Vehicles. At this time the Opp Fire Department has a I.S.O. rating of Class 4<\/p>

I am proud to be part of a team of highly trained and dedicated firefighters. As Fire Chief I see the endless sacrifice of our members as they endeavor to protect our citizens from fire and rescue emergencies. Opp is a wonderful city and a great place to raise a family and it is with great humility that I am allowed to serve as its Fire Chief.<\/p>

The City of Opp follows all regulations set by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) regarding open burning on private property. Residents must comply with ADEM guidelines to ensure safe and lawful burning practices.
