| Like many
cities and small towns across the south, Opp has suffered
at the hands of NAFTA and other agreements that sent jobs
out of the country. But unlike most small towns, Opp didn't
take it sitting down.
The new administration of the City of Opp aggressively pursued
economic development and their efforts are paying off. There
is new construction in and around the city. Opp is perfectly situated
to take full advantage of economic development unseen in this
area of the country.
A number of business leaders have visited Opp
and the surrounding area in the past several months to look
at property and to evaluate the area for potential new business
ventures.
